R 1200 GS shows its skill (14.10.2004)
A quick look at the final results of the 2004 Skills Challenge reveals an interesting statistic. Of the top 3 riders, 2 were riding the R 1200 GS (including the winner Hein Kumm). Bearing in mind the relatively small number of entrants on the new bike, it really does say something about it's capability.
Perhaps it's because it's lighter, or maybe because the motor has more grunt. Does the new chassis have anything to do with it? Or maybe the most skilled riders just choose the R 1200 GS? You decide.
